Hi, I am Derrick, the new foreign English teacher. This month, I will be conducting English Corners for English students of 学而思。In April, I will be conducting classes for level 4 and level 5 students. If you have any questions about the English Corners and the new classes in April, feel free to ask me.

Oral English has many aspects, such as pronunciation, vocabulary and many more. Which aspect would you like to improve?   B% ]8 b3 S! L% \' B6 _; r" F
Some advice that I give my students are: Talk as much as you can. Don't be afraid to make mistakes. Read aloud. Do not translate everything from English to Chinese in your head.

Teachers have to keep the extroverted students quiet while encourgaging the shy students to speak. It is the teachers job to be patient in helping your daughter to put more words in her answers. The teacher should organize more group activities, assign her a partner, let her sit with more talkative friends and so on. In my classes, I make sure all students get a chance to speak, especially the shy ones. Maybe the American teacher is inexperienced, or maybe the class has too many students for the teacher to pay attention to your daughter, but the bottomline is that the teacher should be responsible for encouraging your daughter to speak.
